Working in partnership with Wyre Forest District Council and Brintons Ltd, Centros redeveloped an 18-acre, brown-field site in the heart of the town centre. Phase I was completed and sold to Tesco for a superstore, which opened in May 2002. Enabling works for this phase

included re-routing the River Stour and re-housing a family of otters in the process. Phase 2 created 400,000 sq ft of retail space including large outlets for Marks & Spencer and Next, unit shops, a health & fitness club, restaurants, a 600-space car park and a new bus station. The development won a BCSC Gold Award
in 2004. |
